About Us

OUR STORY

The Philippine- Australian Foundation (Victoria) Inc. (PAFI) used to be a committee of a community organisation (FCCVI) that provides government-funded aged care and other community services.  In 1993, this committee was transformed into and registered with CAV as a separate umbrella  organisation  in the name it is now known.  As an umbrella organisation, its members consist of CAV registered organisations, designated as organisational members, and individual persons designated as associate members.

With the tremendous commitment  and collaboration of the parents of Little Princesses Victoria and the Filipino-Australian community,  they were  able to raise and generated enough funds to purchase the property at 93 Cowper St. Footscray , now known as the Philippine-Australian Multi-Purpose Centre or the Philippine House.

For many years, the Philippine-Australian Multi-Purpose Centre was used to provide offices for the founding organisation (FCCVI) and as a venue for its social support and other community services.  PAFI had been supporting this organisation.  Most of our current board members acquired their aged care governance experiences through serving in that organisation’s board over the years.

Combined, our team have a total of over 30 years of experience in providing  aged care services.

In 2020, Happy Care Services of the Philippine-Australian Foundation (Victoria) Inc. was established and duly registered with ACNC as PAFI’s trading name, in response to the foreseen requirements of the community and now uses the facilities for its aged care, social and public welfare programs.
